Job Description:
The Human Factors discipline plays a critical role in enhancing safety and operational efficiency by ensuring that AHE products, services, and processes are designed with full consideration of human performance and limitations.
Mission
Bring Human Factors expertise to complex and critical cockpit designs, technologies, and operational functions.
Ensure human-centric design by minimizing the risk of error and maintaining acceptable workload across all flight phases
Supporting effective responses to both normal and abnormal situations
Enhancing pilot performance and flight deck usability
Improvement of safety and efficiency
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Design a HFE/HMI for the requested functions, in conjunction with design responsible, architects, test pilots and the end-customer
Contribute to Cockpit arrangement and human factor assessment for different helicopters customizations and retrofits
Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams including pilots, designers, training experts, safety specialists, and certification engineers.
Define in detail the HFE/HMI for the requested functions
Review changes to Functional descriptions and, where necessary, implement a change in the defined HFE/HMI
Create and maintain the HFE/HMI documents
Participate to status and progress meetings, including design reviews
Prepare technical content in order to demonstrate the compliance of the applicable requirements, for example:
- HF compliance plan,
- Design documents,
- Equipment qualification,
- Mock-ups, lab tests,
- Ground Tests
- Flight Tests
- Analysis,
- Calculations
Discuss and agree with the Airworthiness Authorities the HF certification process, from its strategy to the demonstration of compliance.
Desired skills and qualifications
Completed university Degree (Bachelor / Master) in engineering or comparable in the field of Human Factors/Ergonomics, System Engineering or similar
Experience in Human Factors / Ergonomics
Experience in cockpit and avionics systems
Experience in human machine interface in aeronautics is a plus
Experience in airworthiness compliance demonstration is highly appreciated
Some business trips are potentially to be expected (
Soft Skills: teamwork, agility, fluency in communication/presentation, ability to synthesize ideas and escalate them in agreement with the audience
Language skills: Spanish (negotiation level) English (negotiation level ), German and French are appreciated
