The PIC provides recurring payroll processing, personnel action processing, time & attendance administration and information for GAO; and supports the administration and deployment of HCO's IT systems. Major Duties:
Qualifications: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band level, or equivalent to GS-11, PT-I, AC-III, and CS-I grade level in the Federal Service, which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as processing a variety of personnel actions such as accessions, separations, reassignments, and position creation utilizing automated payroll/personnel system such as National Finance Center (NFC) or equivalent systems. Researching, interpreting and applying regulations associated with personnel processing. Correcting and canceling historical personnel actions using the correction function in the processing system. Managing employee time and attendance using the government time and attendance or equivalent system. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
