HR Manager (M3)

The HR Manager / Senior Business Partner holds responsibility for all HR activities within the Netherlands. This role ensures the successful implementation of global HR policies initiated by the U.S. headquarters, while adapting them to local requirements and guaranteeing full compliance with Dutch labor law and company standards. Acting as an extended member of the leadership team, the HR Manager is a strategic partner to the business and provides leadership on complex HR matters, drives organizational development, and represents HR at management level. Operational tasks such as payroll coordination and absence management are delegated to team members, while the HR Manager focuses on strategic oversight, governance, and coaching to ensure excellence across all HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for HR strategy implementation and compliance.
  • Partnering with local management to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and coach the local HR team, ensuring development and performance.
  • Setting priorities as aligned with the US, and allocates tasks and objectives within the HR tema
  • Manage complex HR issues including organizational design, employee relations, and change management.
  • Delegate operational tasks such as payroll and absence management while maintaining oversight.
  • Advise management on recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Ensure streamlined HR processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all HR matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HRM
  • 8+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role
  • Extensive knowledge of Dutch labor law and CLA implementation
  • Extensive experience in working in a matrix organization with matrix reporting lines
  • Experience in the IT or High Tech industry
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and MS Office
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in planning and organizing work.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Reporting Line

Reports to: Head of Human Resources (US) with a dotted line to the GM
Direct reports: HR Advisor, HR Admin Coordinator, Payroll Team (2 employees)
