What's the role

The HR Manager Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau job offers an unique opportunity to lead the transformation of the organization that meets the energy needs of the future world.

What you'll be doing

  • The lead HR representative in the business leadership teams to ensure strategic and operational People agenda get proper leadership attention and commitments.

  • Provide strategic or expertise HR guidance to Businesses on various matters related to People agenda.

  • Support & coach business leaders in building an organization culture in line with Shell’s Core Values & to sustain high employee engagements levels.

  • Lead a direct team of 2, and supported by indirect HR resources, to ensure the delivery of global and Greater China HR Strategy in Hong Kong/Taiwan/Macau.

  • Ensure a competitive compensation and benefits offering to employees to ensure we attract and retain best talent.

  • The opportunity to lead strategic HR projects as required to enable business growth/transformation across China.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • More than 10 years of experience in HR, with preferred experience especially in all or a few of the following:

    • HR business partnering and HR leadership

    • Talent management

    • Learning, leadership and/or employee engagement

    • Change management/facilitator of organisational change

    • Performance, rewards, and policy delivery

  • Commerciality – understands, with genuine interest in, how the business makes money, and business intimacy to understand what’s going on to deliver value.

  • Courage and integrity – strong coaching and influencing skill

  • Collaboration/integrative leadership (with others, with other parts of HR, with other functions etc.).

  • Data analytics skills to derive insights and meaning.

  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
