POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Americas HR team, based in Clear Lake, TX. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders across Canada, the United States, and Brazil, supporting both functional and manufacturing teams.
As a key partner to leaders at all levels—including the executive team—you will play a critical role in shaping and executing people strategies that drive business success. Your focus will include leadership development, performance management, organizational change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position requires a proactive, versatile, agile professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can navigate complex challenges while delivering impactful HR solutions that enable growth and organizational effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable HR strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on talent planning, organizational effectiveness, and workforce optimization.
- Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide initiatives while tailoring solutions for regional needs.
- Assess engagement trends and implement strategies that enhance motivation, well-being, and retention.
Leadership Development & Employee Engagement
- Partner with leaders to identify, implement, and sustain programs that build leadership capabilities at all levels.
- Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and learning opportunities to support career growth and succession planning.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives by fostering a culture of recognition, inclusion, and continuous feedback.
- Model and reinforce Ketjen’s core values in all interactions and decision-making.
Performance Management
- Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through effective performance management processes.
- Coach leaders on goal setting, feedback, and employee development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for complex employee relations matters.
Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness
- Lead and support change initiatives to enhance organizational agility and effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement organizational structures that optimize performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve employee experience.
- Champion best practices and innovative HR solutions across the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 or more years of progressive HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into HR strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence across all levels.
- Agile, flexible, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
Preferred
- Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
