Join Our Team as a Housekeeper at Valleywood Retirement Resort!

Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna.  This position is on site within Kelowna.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, you will be performing housekeeping and cleaning activities in all areas of the Resort within established guidelines and procedures as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional conduct, grooming, and appearance in line with resort standards.
  • Clean and disinfect Resident suites, public areas, offices, washrooms, and common areas.
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry.
  • Restock housekeeping supplies and report damaged or inoperable equipment.
  • Respond to unscheduled cleaning needs due to the Resident population.
  • Foster a team environment through positive interactions with staff and departments.
  • Ensure confidentiality of Resident and organizational information, promoting their health, safety, and happiness.
  • Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Related housekeeping experience an asset.
  • WHMIS

Skills for Success:

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Salary and Hours of Work 

  • This is a casual position.
  • The hourly wage for this position is $19.21.
