Job Description  

This role sits within the Corporate Finance division at Houlihan Lokey, and specifically, in the Digital Infrastructure group, which is a subset of the Technology group.

In Corporate Finance, Summer Financial Analysts may work on a variety of transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services and client industries. These services include mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts. Throughout the summer, you will work with a highly talented and dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting businesses today.  

You will research and analyze financial statements, general and industry-specific economic conditions and developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and various investment attributes of publicly traded and private securities companies.

Event Details

The Boston Technology Investment Banking team is hosting an invitation-only, in-office event for students with a strong interest in joining the group. This event is designed for current sophomores recruiting for the 2027 Summer Analyst Program and will offer an inside look at what it’s like to work in Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey.

Throughout the day, participants will participate in interactive training sessions and networking opportunities with bankers from the team. Selected candidates will move forward with an accelerated interview process for the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Date: January 23, 2026

Location: Houlihan Lokey Office – Boston, MA 

Travel: Same-day travel will be provided for eligible attendees 

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Current sophomore students pursuing a Bachelor’s graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 
  • Demonstrated interest in finance through coursework, work experience, or extracurricular activities 
  • Proven leadership experience 
  • Ability to travel to the in-person event in Boston, MA on January 23, 2026

Preferred Qualifications  

  • A fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications  
  • Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel)   
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
