The DCX Junior Accountant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by the company.

  

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Role Details 

  • Industry: Outsourcing | Promotions

  • Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

  • Workdays: Monday through Friday

  • Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient 

  • Salary Range: PHP 25,000.00 - 35,000.00

Job Responsibilities 

  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices based on regular billing cycles

  • Ensuring timely and accurate billing in accordance with customer contracts, service agreements, or standard billing terms

  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate billing records for all clients

  • Sending invoices to clients through appropriate channels

  • Coordinating with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to validate billable services and ensure invoice accuracy

  • Investigating and promptly resolving any billing discrepancies, such as incorrect rates or service descriptions

  • Responding to client inquiries or complaints related to billing in a timely and professional manner

  • Collaborating with internal teams to process invoice adjustments, apply credits, or issue revised invoices as necessary

  • Monitoring daily payments and outstanding receivables using aging reports

  • Recording all received payments accurately in the accounting system

  • Reconciling collected payments with bank statements and addressing any discrepancies

  • Processing credit card payments, including handling declined or unapproved transactions

  • Sending overdue notices and conducting regular, professional follow-ups to ensure prompt payment and resolution of unpaid customer accounts.

  • Using email, phone calls, and formal letters to communicate with clients regarding payment collections

  • Recording all received payments accurately in the accounting system and preparing related journal entries

    Reconciling collected payments with bank statements and addressing any discrepancies

  • Managing the billing and collections process for resolving any billing issues and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve procedures; and

  • Performing other billing and collection-related duties as needed

Additional Job Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field. •

  • Experience: 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable and/or Billing and Collection and Journal entry experience.

  • Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word and Outlook.

  • Strong working knowledge using Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.

  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus, but not required.

  • Familiarity with Workday, Hubspot, Shopify, and Stripe is a plus but not required.
