Histology Technician

We are seeking a Histology Technician to join IQVIA’s laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

Perform routine tissue processing, including paraffin embedding and sectioning, to support accurate and timely pathological analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists following established procedures

  • Perform staining techniques to support pathological assessments

  • Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment

  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards

  • Assist with process improvements, SOP updates, and troubleshooting

  • Maintain inventory and support lab organization in alignment with 6S standards

  • Document activities in accordance with good documentation practices and regulatory guidelines

  • Support study setup coordination and cross-functional projects as needed

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2–3 years of experience in a histopathology lab or related discipline

  • ASCP qualification or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or production lab

  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures

  • Proficiency in histology techniques, staining procedures, and use of specialized laboratory equipment

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues

  • Effective communication and collaboration with coworkers, managers, and clients

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
