At our location in Bönen (near Dortmund), we are looking for a Herd Manager – Global Support (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Responsibilities / Tasks

- Global Herd Management Consulting

  • Provide high-level support on herd management topics and guide the use of GEA software solutions (e.g., DairyNetBox, CowScout, CattleEye)

  • Deliver independent consulting on feeding strategies, milking processes, and performance optimization before and after commissioning of automated systems

  • Lead and manage complex herd management projects, including large-scale farms with over 1,000 cows

- Training & Knowledge Leadership

  • Design and deliver advanced training programs for herd managers, dealers, and technical teams across the globe

- Strategic Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between internal departments, global herd managers, and service specialists

  • Handle complex service requests and ensure high-quality resolution through ticketing systems

-Innovation & Development Projects

  • Contribute to development projects aimed at enhancing herd management processes and digital solutions

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and impactful presentations

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • A degree in agricultural sciences with a focus on cattle, or equivalent agricultural training

  • 3+ years of professional experience in herd management, veterinary science, ideally with international exposure or experience managing large-scale farms

  • Deep expertise in automated milking, feeding systems, animal health, and herd management software. Openness to working with AI-driven tools and technologies to elevate herd management strategies and decision-making

  • A structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style

  • Strong command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus

  • Willingness to travel internationally
