Overview of the role:

 

The Head of Reward reports to SEA People Operations & Reward Director will establish a deep understanding of business challenges to deliver the reward strategy for the SEA Region. The role will have line manager responsibility for a team of Reward Partners who have a geographical remit. The role holder will work closely with the key stakeholders and Group Reward to develop and deliver a Reward strategy aimed at attracting, retaining and engaging world-class talent in all of the locations we operate in. The role focuses on total reward, compensation governance, recognition, as well as, providing strategic support to workforce planning activities. 

 

What you’ll do: 

 

Reward Strategy & Delivery 

  • Lead the design and execution of reward strategies that support attraction, retention, and engagement of top talent across the SEA Region. 

  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals, challenges, and talent priorities to align reward programs with strategic objectives. 

  • Own and deliver all annual and ad hoc reward processes, including salary review, bonus cycles, long-term incentive plans, and recognition programs. 

  • Ensure fairness, internal equity, and market competitiveness through regular benchmarking and compensation analysis. 

  • Manage and evolve a robust governance framework across all reward processes, policies, and communications. 

  • Lead reward-related M&A integration workstreams as needed, ensuring consistent application of reward principles. 

 

Collaboration & Strategic Influence 

  • Partner with Group Reward teams to ensure alignment of philosophy, frameworks, and best practices. 

  • Support People Partners in workforce planning and headcount analysis by providing insights and modeling to inform decision-making (ownership of headcount budget sits with People Partners). 

  • Actively participate in Group forums, contributing SEA-specific insights to shape global reward initiatives. 

  • Work closely with Finance to support budget planning and business cases related to reward investments. 

 

Communication & Engagement 

  • Ensure clear, engaging communication of reward programs to employees, including the use of total reward statements. 

  • Use feedback platforms (e.g., Peakon) and employee engagement data to continuously refine the reward offering. 

  • Educate HR and business leaders on reward principles, governance, and available tools, strengthening reward capabilities across the region. 

 

Recognition 

  • Drive inclusive, scalable recognition programs aligned with company values and impact culture. 

 

Team Leadership 

  • Lead and coach a team of Reward Partners to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery of reward programs across locations. 

  • Foster a collaborative, purpose-driven team environment focused on innovation, inclusion, and employee experience. 

 

Who you’ll bring: 

  • A senior reward professional with 8+ years of experience in complex, matrixed, and international organizations. 

  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering total reward programs across geographies. 

  • Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and the ability to use data to drive decisions and influence C-level stakeholders. 

  • Inclusive leadership style with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and engagement. 

  • Proactive, hands-on, and agile—able to manage multiple priorities and lead through ambiguity. 

  • Skilled in compensation benchmarking, job evaluation, and market analysis. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Fluent in English
