Summary

As the Head of RDT Performance and Insights, you will act as a visionary leader for the Roche Digital Technology (RDT) function. You will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive data strategy, encompassing both robust data governance and the generation of actionable, predictive insights. This role requires a dynamic change agent who can lead a talented team and influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization. Your mission is to embed a data-driven culture, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset to accelerate innovation, enhance decision-making, and drive operational excellence across RDT.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overarching data and insights strategy for the RDT organization, ensuring full alignment with the Roche Group Data Strategy and RDT's core objectives.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary team for data governance and individual contributors focused on insights, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Data Governance & Architecture: Establish and champion a robust data governance framework for RDT. Drive the adoption of consistent data roles (Data Stewards, Data Owners), uphold technical standards, and oversee the lifecycle of RDT Data Products.

  • Actionable & Predictive Insights: Engage with the RDT Lead Team for the governance of RDT's OKRs and KPIs, delivering advanced visualization and dashboards. Steer the team to generate predictive insights that enable proactive risk identification, forecasting, and strategic scenario planning for RDT leadership.

  • Influence & Change Management: Act as a key influencer and change agent across RDT, persuading stakeholders to embrace data stewardship and ownership. Champion a mindset of continuous improvement over maintaining the status quo.

Key Leadership Competencies and Skills

  • People Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams of data professionals.

  • Data Governance & Strategy: Deep expertise in creating and implementing enterprise-level data governance frameworks, data architecture, and data strategy, preferably within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong, practical knowledge of modern data and analytics technologies, including business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data visualization, and predictive analytics concepts.

  • Influence & Persuasion: Exceptional ability to influence without direct authority, persuade senior stakeholders, and communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Visionary & Strategic Mindset: A forward-thinking and strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo, drive change, and translate a data vision into tangible business value.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or healthcare is highly preferred.
