Primary Purpose of Role:

To develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies (short and long term) for the Surgical portfolio in order to deliver against agreed growth targets.

Major Accountabilities:

Develop short- and long-term business and marketing plans for the ANZ Surgical business and consistently deliver

  • Ensure seamless execution in achieving top-line growth and market share
  • Provide ongoing insights and recommendations on how to continue to improve the success and profitability of the business
  • Safe and effective use of our products and understanding of the specialties in which we operate Operational Effectiveness and Seamless Commercial Execution
  • Drive the desired behaviours and accountabilities across the surgical marketing team
  • Facilitate strong connections with the key stakeholders from sales and key accounts at a ANZ level
  • Actively develop strong connections with local and regional key stakeholders within Alcon Organisational Development
  • Act as a senior leader in the Surgical Franchise
  • Actively drive the Talent Management of the Surgical team
  • Act in accordance with Alcon Values and behaviours

Education/Qualifications:

  • Minimum/Essential: Science or Commercial/Marketing Degree
  • Preferred: Post Graduate qualifications in Business or Marketing

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong marketing experience, with evidence of at least 3 years at the Marketing Manager level, in the medical device industry
  • Proven capability in strategic marketing
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate others with demonstrated experience in improving the capability of a team and holding people to account
  • Skilled in juggling multiple priorities and working to close deadlines
  • Proven success in effectively building KOL relationships
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
