About the role:

As the Head of Manufacturing Business Systems, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership to develop and drive the Manufacturing Digital Vision, provides Business Process Ownership for Manufacturing Digital Systems, and leads both the MES and Manufacturing Documentation Teams. You will report into the Head of Manufacturing.

How you will contribute:

  • Shape the Manufacturing Digital Vision: Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy for manufacturing, aligning digital initiatives with business objectives to enable operational excellence, innovation, and future-readiness. Champion the adoption of digital technologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation across manufacturing operations
  • Business Process Owner for Manufacturing Digital Systems: Serve as the business process owner for all manufacturing digital systems, including Opstrakker and other current or future digital applications. Oversee the integration, optimization, and continuous improvement of these systems to ensure they meet evolving business needs and support operational efficiency
  • Oversight of Manufacturing Documentation Team: Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing documentation team, ensuring effective coordination and integration of both MES and paper document workflows. Responsible for optimizing documentation processes to enable on-time project execution, compliance, and seamless information flow across teams
  • Manage a team of MBR designers to support projects related to MES implementations and upgrades, as well as business-as-usual operations
  • Lead and/or participate in shop floor/end-user workshops to develop user requirements for manufacturing systems through interviews and documentation analysis
  • Create all the user stories (in support of the user requirements) with acceptance criteria together with the business representatives (manufacturing and quality)
  • Work closely with MES subject matter experts and aid the design, development, testing, and deployment of MES recipes
  • Participate in design reviews and end-user testing
  • Collaborate with site and global functions such as Operations Technology, Information Technology, and Science & Technology groups to influence long-term manufacturing strategies
  • Support MES lifecycle activities (such as revision of batch records) by acting as the gatekeeper and releasing them for production use

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BS degree 8+ years overall experience, including 5 years+ in MES, manufacturing process management and/or documentation management
  • Knowledgeable in FDA validation requirements preferred, including User Requirement and Design Specs, Business Process Procedures, Design Reviews, Requirements gathering, etc
  • Experience developing user requirements and functional specification documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products; TrackWise and Maximo experience a plus

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
