The post holder will move at pace to create and enhance propositions that meet and exceed consultant and patient needs, with an initial focus on our specialist centres and their successful business case delivery.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- You will work alongside the rest of the Commercial Leadership Team, devise and oversee the execution of the yearly commercial strategy across the Cromwell Hospital and specialist centre network.
- You will lead on designing and delivering an effective and targeted consultant engagement strategy for each outpatient and specialist centre, to ensure successful business case delivery, including individual centre revenue and profit targets, internal cross referrals and onward referral revenue targets into Cromwell Hospital.
- You will support the Head of Consultant Strategy to oversee and drive, where needed, the onboarding of strategic consultants into either Cromwell Hospital or a specialist centre, ensuring their onboarding process is efficient and successful.
- You will work with operational or other internal teams at each specialist centre to roll out changes to consultant ways of working, e.g. changes to consultant charging models.
- You will be responsible for ensuring business case targets for onward revenue into Cromwell Hospital from each specialist centre are achieved.
- You will work along the senior financial team to deliver a meaningful monthly commercial update with clear KPIs that reflect the business case for each specialist centre, and the impact of the consultant engagement strategy on them.
- You will continually strive for profitable growth, driving innovation and keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do.
- Oversee the delivery of a successful events plan for consultants at specialist centres to ensure retention and encourage internal referrals. Ensure timeframes and budgets for activities are defined and expectations of key stakeholders are managed including hospital executive team, consultants and clinical and operational teams.

- Ability to persuade and influence consultant in their decision-making process
- Seasoned professional with leadership experience at a senior leadership level
- Strong track record of driving business development and commercial growth in challenging market conditions.
- Cross functional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and leverage across a range of functional skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work with energy to solve challenging logistical and operational situations for consultants and patients.
