Job Description:

The Head of Business Assurance, US Technology is responsible developing long term US Platforms and Technology Strategies to support Road to Strong efforts as well as business growth and revenue, identifying weaknesses or opportunities in ongoing strategies and analyzing and assessing internal processes and trends.  This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive framework to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations by conducting audits, monitoring controls and identifying potential issues across the organization, ultimately providing confidence in the integrity and effectiveness of the US Platforms and Technology operations.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Assists US CIO to resolve Regulatory findings or new rules/directives, including supporting our efforts to resolve any regulatory findings and/or related MRAs
  • Assists US CIO for Road to Strong (RTS)/Eagle activities ensuring alignment with new risk and control programs identified
  • Develops and maintains standards and procedures in alignment with Platforms and technology, legal, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Implements and executes controls to mitigate risk generated across all US CIO processes
  • Partners with 1B, 2LOD and Audit teams to ensure that Remediation-related change activities and delivered and executed within required timelines
  • Works across US CIO teams to share insights on regulatory remediation solutions while also seeking out perspective from other
  • Proactively ensures exam and other testing readiness by US P&T to improve self-ID rate and successful audits and exams
  • Develops and maintains US P&T materials for quarterly updates to regulators
  • Develops action plans in coordination with 1B

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD) is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management or compliance within the financial services industry
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a regulatory and risk-focused environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data and technology-driven solutions for risk management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
