Key Responsibilities 

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career while making a meaningful impact. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and execute medical strategy: Lead the medical strategy for the Specialty Care portfolio in Switzerland, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities while addressing local patient and healthcare needs. 

  • Inspire and lead a team: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing medical team, driving scientific engagement and creating opportunities for growth and development. 

  • Engage stakeholders: Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and other key external stakeholders, representing the medical voice in discussions. 

  • Collaborate across functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access, to support business objectives and deliver value to patients. 

  • Ensure compliance: Promote and uphold GSK’s high ethical standards, ensuring all medical activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and local laws. 

  • Provide medical insights: Offer strategic medical guidance and insights to inform decision-making and contribute to innovative healthcare solutions. 

 

About You 

This role is designed for a leader who is driven by science, passionate about patient outcomes, and thrives in a collaborative environment. 

Basic Qualifications 
We are looking for professionals with the following skills and qualifications: 

  • University degree in a relevant scientific discipline or closely related field. 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, specifically within Medical Affairs, with proven expertise in strategy development, execution, and successful product launch experience. 

  • Proven leadership experience, including team management and development. 

  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence across a matrix environment. 

  • Experience building relationships with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders. 

  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in the pharmaceutical industry. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to translate complex scientific data into actionable insights. 

  • Fluent in both English and German languages. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: 

  • Preferred professional qualifications (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD)  

  • Expertise in Specialty Care therapeutic areas. 

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively. 

  • Experience driving innovation and fostering continuous improvement. 

  • A genuine passion for improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare solutions.
