At Cecconi's a Head Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for Cecconi's. You will also deliver excellent service from initial greeting and seating members and supporting with the floor team where needed. The Head Host, has acute organizational and people skills which often in infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure.
The Lead Host also helps welcome, inform, and train new staff on managing reservations, restaurant information, and service procedures. Additionally, they are responsible for managing reservations, communicating requests and special notes to the appropriate team member, and updating the member database daily. A successful Lead Host remains calm under pressure, resolves problems quickly, and identifies solutions and opportunities for positive experiences. In addition to performing in fast-paced environments, they maintain order while building relationships and delivering exceptional service that lives up to Soho House standards.
Main responsibilities
- To support and apply effective and efficient operational standards while remaining flexible to change and promoting positive implementation and the ability to delegate tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Supervision of the Hostess team's responsibilities.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and training to the Hostess team on member/guest relations, and take a leading role in evaluating and delivering all training.
- Process all disputes and complaints from members, guests, and employees in a timely manner and communicate quickly to ensure everyone understands the next steps and how to proceed.
- To ensure that all systems are kept up-to-date with accurate information and that Soho House standards are met in terms of local and regional compliance, as well as health and safety.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
What we are looking for
- Must have 3-4 years of experience in a smilar role and answering high-volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally and timely.
- Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution.
- Reliable, representative, positive and enthusiastic.
- OpenTable, Salesforce, Opera and MICROS experience is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English. Dutch or any other language is a big plus.
- Professional experience in customer service, with management/supervisory skills.
- Experienced in training and development, fostering a fun, uplifting, and accessible environment within the Hostess team.
- Detail-oriented, articulate, and capable of multitasking in a demanding, high-volume work environment.
- Flexible hours and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (as needed).
