The Atlanta Braves Guest Operations Trainee will play a vital role in supporting our event operations and hospitality efforts. This position requires a strong work ethic, a passion for sports and event management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both staff and guests. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Atlanta Braves operational standards.

The Guest Operations Department is dedicated to creating an outstanding experience for everyone who visits Truist Park on a 365-day basis. This role offers hands-on experience in people management, policy implementation, and collaboration across multiple departments within the organization. The trainee will be exposed to a wide range of event operations, from large-scale events to daily ballpark functions.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist Guest Operations management with departmental initiatives and daily operations.
  • Aid in recruiting, hiring, and training Gameday Staff.
  • Support the operation of Truist Park for both large and small-scale events.
  • Collaborate with internal and third-party departments to ensure a top-tier guest experience.
  • Contribute to ballpark improvements, including signage and operational processes.
  • Assist with event planning, setup, and execution of Gameday Staff functions throughout the season.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in person, via email, or over the phone.
  • Coordinate the mailing of Atlanta Braves fan packs for special occasions.
  • Manage the Truist Park Lost & Found program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Customer service oriented

  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays

  • Must successfully complete background check

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • A demonstrated appreciation for diversity and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous customer service and leadership experience.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word); experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms is a plus.
  • Strong team player with a proactive self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
