Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Group Coordinator Team Lead (Level C) to lead and support the 787 Boeing South Carolina Manufacturing Group Coordinators Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift!

This position will provide critical Group Coordinator production support to Final Assembly operations including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. The Team Lead will support manufacturing in addition to being responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS. Team lead will be responsible for these and other assigned tasks.

As a team lead, you'll create a culture that enhances productivity, safety and a teaming environment; works cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement; ensure LOTO book, kit and LOTO equipment are used correctly and inventoried and coordinates with teammates/Manager on execution and critical path of production build

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Team oversight

  • (SME) Subject Matter Expert

  • Pre-shift planning

  • Crew meetings

  • Team status updates

  • Training

  • Builds effective resource plans that support SOW execution and landmark completion with team and crew coordination.

  • Establishes overtime requirements, execution plan and staffing.

  • Supervising Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

  • Review current LOTOs

  • Coordinating hazardous energy work

  • Hand off or end-of-shift activities

  • Abnormal circumstance responses

  • Verifies Aircraft power can be safely provided to the airplane.

  • Inventory oversight LOTO Kits Pre and Post shift

  • Reviews LOTOs book as required

  • The Lead meets with and works with team to evaluate where hazardous energy is to be introduced

  • Coordinating with Functional Test SMEs and ME’s

  • Review status of airplane system configuration LOTO Book.

  • Verifies and or transfers LOTOs to the incoming and Outgoing GC’s.

  • Provides Annual Aircraft Energy Reviews

  • Provides training and oversight to GC 82712 SOJT

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with operations processes involving the 787-airplane program

  • 3+ years of experience with Velocity and additional 787 production applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Group Coordinator

  • 3+ years of 787 production test experience

  • 1+ year of experience in a lead role as either a team-builder or a team-leader
