As a Grid Analyst at ENMAX, you will play a pivotal part in supporting operational excellence and informed decision-making across dynamic teams, including Grid, Operations, Asset Performance, and Technology. Major responsibilities:
Produce accurate forecasts and conduct in-depth analyses of operational and financial performance, translating results into comprehensive management reports, KPI scorecards, and spend-tracking tools that highlight risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Monitor departmental and project budgets, vendor spend and track purchase orders, invoices, and contract renewals; flag anomalies or risks for review and provide solutions for corrective actions.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations, ensuring stakeholders understand key insights and their implications for business decisions.
Develop ad hoc business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and financial tracking.
Support requisition submissions, vendor onboarding (including documentation collection and compliance verification), SOW coordination, and compliance with internal requirements.
Collaborate closely with Grid, Operations, Asset, and Technology teams to align data collection and operational requirements.
Recommend and present opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and reliability and implement changes.
Develop, document, maintain, and update standard business processes, procedures, and knowledge transfers to support consistency and knowledge sharing,
Manage SharePoint sites and other information repositories, ensuring accurate and organized data storage; track BU action items, facilitate communication, and maintain documentation of key contacts.
Education required:
Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in business analytics, operations analysis, operational support, financial analysis, or process management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and visualization
Experience preparing reports, developing business cases, modeling, and presenting recommendations to management
Demonstrated ability to conduct moderate to complex financial, operational, and/or planning analysis
Experience analyzing and re-engineering business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and implementing changes
Proven ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and demonstrate initiative
Familiarity with analytics in cloud computing environments
Previous utilities experience is an asset

Salary: Analyst Level C (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$99,626.44 - $105,855.57 - $112,084.70 - $118,313.83 - $124,542.96
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
