Key Responsibilities:
As part of our creative team, your main responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with experienced Graphic Designers to help create various communication materials. These may include brochures, print material, exhibit displays, signage, graphics for social media, website visuals, videos, animations and presentation slides.
Following Bruce Power's brand guidelines and ensuring that all assigned projects are finished by the set deadlines.
Supporting the team by tagging photos, organizing our large photo library, and helping retrieve files when needed.
This role is designed to give you hands-on experience and guidance as you develop your skills in a professional environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software with emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Illustration and motion design skills are an asset.
Ability to focus on a broad range of activities, prioritize effectively and see tasks and assignments through to completion.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to succeed in a team-based environment.
Must be willing to learn new skills and processes, while maintaining a professional, positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary Graphic Design program.
Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-secondary studies.
Must be returning full-time immediately following the work term to post-secondary studies or require a coop term to graduate. Please provide four to five samples of graphic design work through a PDF attachment or a portfolio website.
