Christchurch Engine Centre – a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and Air New Zealand - is an aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul centre for the V2500-A5 engine. We are presently undergoing set up for capability of the PW1100G-JM Engine. GRADUATE ENGINEER

Christchurch Engine Centre Graduate Programme

 

Our two-year Graduate Programme will provide a unique opportunity to gain experience in an outstanding engineering business and be part of the future of aviation. As a Graduate Engineer you will rotate through our engineering teams, which include roles such as Digital, Process, Powerplant, Tooling, Repair Development, Industrial and Production Engineering. Your progress and learning will be supported by experienced specialists offering professional training, mentoring and skill development.

 

As you progress through the program and gain more experience you can expect to be involved in:

·        Project Management for technical projects such as introduction of new repairs or capability

·        Design of new tooling

·        Drive continuous improvement to ensure compliance, eliminate or minimise risk, identify opportunities, and improve productivity.

 

YOUR PROFILE

·        Recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical & Process or other similar)

·        Genuine interest in aviation and continuous improvement

·        Good data processing skills

·        High level of initiative and excellent communication skills

·        Able to work effectively in a team environment

·        Shows flexibility and adaptability in their work

·        Has strong ability and desire to learn and apply new technology

·        Legally entitled to work in New Zealand

·        Availability to commence employment in January 2026
