Your role:
As a Global Vendor Planner you will drive, in the heart of our Global PC&L Operations, all activities within the Vendor Planning management domain with special focus on key semiconductor supplier portfolios.
In this key position you will drive optimization and compliance within the Supplier Planning process that will allow Aptiv to achieve inventory targets and improve efficiency in our internal operations.
Responsibilities and duties
The Global Vendor Planner will drive excellence across all Aptiv key semiconductor supplier portfolios in achieving on time delivery, zero production line disruptions, avoidance of over/understock inventory and compliance in line with Global PC&L and SCM resiliency initiatives.
In your daily work you will be:
- Responsible for compliance in the Supplier Weekly planning process on components worldwide;
- Supplier performance metrics; OTTR metric deployment
- Monitoring and supporting SCM supply initiatives;
- Monitoring NPI launches – asses the ETE landed cost;
- Defining the planning parameters in accordance with global replenishment, plant and inventory strategies;
- Working with the plants in order to avoid Premium Cost related to the managed suppliers performance;
- Following and driving actions to improve Supplier OTTR metric of suppliers portfolio;
- Implementing and controling supplier SIOP.
- Focal point for SCM to define and sign NCNR and RFQ volumes with suppliers
- Support SCM Resiliency in 9B Strategy compliance
- Support/Monitor Spend Agreements defined by SCM (NCNR, LTSA, FY Spend).
- Supplier crisis management - Support adhoc “crisis” events for suppliers outside of normal scope.
Your background:
- Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Business Management, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant area;
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Processes (with preference for Operations, Manufacturing and Logistics related ones);
- 3+ years of significant Experience in a Business Process Role related to Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing and Logistics;
- Advanced knowledge of SAP and other relevant systems/tools, and relevant experience as a professional user in a challenging environment;
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Analytical mindset, strongly process driven and used to view the performance through “process and people” angle;
- Good working knowledge of MS office and integration with other systems;
Nice to haves (preferred qualifications):
- Experience in a challenging automotive environment;
- Basic knowledge on Six Sigma principles and tools;
- Curiously investigate everything – ability to solving problems analytically, creatively and collaboratively;
- Learn by doing – an entrepreneurial mindset that’s driven by hands-on experimentation;
