Role Overview
The Global Shared Services Leader will be responsible for establishing, managing, and scaling the Shared Services organization at the Toro India. This role will oversee the delivery of Finance, HR, and Legal services to multiple business units and geographies, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Acting as a strategic partner to global stakeholders, the leader will drive efficiency, standardization, and digital transformation across support functions, enabling the organization to operate with agility and cost-effectiveness worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the global shared services strategy aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Partner with global Finance, HR, and Legal leaders to ensure services meet evolving business needs.
- Drive transformation initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Service Delivery & Operations
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of Finance (e.g. AP, AR, GL, FP&A support, compliance), HR (e.g. payroll, employee services, talent operations), and Legal (e.g. contract management, compliance monitoring) processes.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards across all functions.
- Implement automation, and digital tools to streamline processes and improve service quality.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between global business leaders and the GCC shared services teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate needs and deliver proactive solutions.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Talent & Team Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multi-functional team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop succession planning and capability-building programs to ensure long-term sustainability.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with global policies, local regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage audits, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements across Finance, HR, and Legal services.
- Establish governance frameworks to monitor service quality and mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant & Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in shared services, global operations, or business services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing multi-functional teams in a global or regional shared services environment.
- Strong understanding of Finance, HR, and Legal processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and automation/digital transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
