The Global Commission Plan Administrator will be based in Fremont, CA. In this position, you will report to the Vice President of Sales Operations and work closely with Finance, regional Sales VPs, and executive leadership. You will own the end-to-end process of creating and administering global sales commission plans, including drafting new plans, calculating accruals and payouts, and aligning commission structures with business priorities. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring complex calculations, annual planning, operational precision and a strategic mindset.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

  • Own and manage global Sales Commission administration across 150 to 200 individuals across 8 business units and 6 geographies with expected expansions

  • Collaborate with regional VPs of Sales to design, align, and execute customized commission plans

  • Draft, update, and manage future commission plan designs, ensuring fairness, scalability, alignment with business goals and efficient plan administration

  • Calculate and maintain quarterly accruals and payouts, ensuring alignment with Finance and Sales leadership

  • Partner with Finance and Key Executives to ensure commission policies are aligned with business strategy, long term planning and financial guidelines

  • Support audit and compliance processes for variable compensation

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities and potential adoption of 3rd party software platform

  • Ensure timely and clear communication of plan structures and changes to individuals and teams field

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Commissions, or Compensation Planning

  • Strong knowledge of incentive compensation principles and best practices

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint and tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive compensation data

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership

Here are a few of our preferred experiences…

  • Prior experience administering global commission plans

  • Familiarity with tools related to sales performance dashboards

  • Experience in a high-growth or business environment including equipment sales, services, SaaS, and other business models

  • Experience working in the renewable energy or technology sector is a plus

  • Knowledge of automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) for efficiency gains

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000.
