Our Global Record-to-Report (R2R) team is the heartbeat of SumUp’s financial integrity.
We ensure every transaction across 30+ legal entities is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready — empowering our leaders to make fast, data-driven decisions.

🧭 About the Role

As the Global R2R Team Lead, you’ll guide and inspire a team of 10+ accounting professionals across three regions. You’ll be the bridge between operational excellence and strategic transformation — ensuring our financial data is timely, accurate, and insightful.

This is a chance to lead beyond borders, influence global processes, and build the finance function of the future.


🚀 What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of 10+ R2R accountants across EMEA and LATAM.

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closings for 30+ legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage global audits, statutory reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and People Ops.

  • Drive automation and process improvement projects, such as payroll posting and intercompany reconciliation.

  • Standardise processes across regions, ensuring efficiency and best-in-class quality.

  • Build a high-performing, motivated team, setting clear goals and fostering accountability and growth.


💡 You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • 8+ years of finance experience, including leadership of international accounting or R2R teams.

  • A professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and experience with multi-entity or matrix organisations.

  • A mindset for automation, transformation, and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.

  • A people-first leadership style — you inspire, empower, and elevate your team.
