Global Logistic Control Tower Operator

Spain - Madrid Full time

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Global Command Center (GCC) Operator, you will be on the front lines of Llogistics intelligence, ensuring smooth flow and proactive risk management of time and temperature-sensitive shipments across the global logistics network.

You will monitor logistics operations to swiftly respond to changes in temperature, lead time, risk management, and other parameters for network shipments. You will ensure timely and accurate information access to support decision-making and perform follow-ups to confirm problem resolution.

The GCC Operator is part of a high-impact, global logistics team ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient flow of Global shipments, this team provides 24x7 support and reports to the Global Command Center Team

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shipment Monitoring

- Track shipments in real time using advanced monitoring tools

- Detect and respond to risks related to temperature excursions or delays.

- Escalate and intervene promptly to mitigate impact on delivery or product quality

  • Coordination and Communication:

- Coordinate with key stakeholders including service providers, and internal teams during disruptions

- Log all interventions accurately for performance analysis

  • Intervention and Emergency Response: Activate response processes, track actions, communicate critical information, and minimize impact of incidents.

  • Post-intervention Processes: Document incidents, streamline resolutions, categorize outcomes, and initiate Claims Management.

  • Data Analysis: Support in generating data reports, analyzing historical data and identifying trends or recurring issues, improve practices, and enhance decision-making.

  • System Maintenance: Maintain GCC system functionality, suggest enhancements, and assess automation opportunities.

  • Training and Documentation:Contribute to knowledge base, standard operating procedures and work instructions creation and updates, and best-practice documentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar.

  • Experience: Experience in Control Tower or Command Center roles is preferred. 2+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in transportation, logistics and supply chain.

  • Digital Tools: Proficiency in all standard MS applications.

  • Technical proficiency in transportation, supply chain, cold chain logistics, trade & customs, compliance.

  • Excellent Collaboration skills in a multicultural environment, effective communication, responsibility, and honesty.

  • Manage high-pressure situations with tenacity, resiliency, and ownership.

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to learn, adaptability, and flexibility.

  • Strong analytical skills for synthesizing data to aid decision-making.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE

Comfort with 24/7 shift work:

Two shifts daily, 7 days/week, 365 days/year, with transparent, fair and equal distribution with standard rest time.

Rotating shifts with built-in rest days to ensure wellbeing.
