The Position

As Global Business Process Manager (GBPM) for Period End Closing Finance, you are part of the BPM Finance team in RSS. In this role you are reporting to the Global Business Process Owner (GBPO) Record to Report. You will be responsible in the product area of Record to Report (R2R) for the Definition and continuous global harmonization, the implementation and continuous improvement including automation and the governance of the process and system solutions for GBPM Period End Closing Finance.

The Opportunity

  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Drive the BPM strategic roadmap for Period End Closing Finance, including generating ideas, prioritizing initiatives, and realizing major change requests.

  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with and influence senior global stakeholders across divisions and functions to guarantee business acceptance.

  • Process Optimization: Drive efficiencies and improvements (including automation) across the E2E network, IT, and affiliates by leveraging external market insights and best practices.

  • Governance & Documentation: Ensure the documentation of process requirements and their implementation through strict guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the performance and success of your end-to-end process area.

  • Leadership & Methodology: Provide guidance to Global Business Process Specialists and actively contribute to advancing agile ways of working within the team and organization.

  • Project Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert for partner projects, providing specific advice and guidance regarding your process area.

Who you are

  • Education & Experience: Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business with at least 5-7 years of professional experience, specifically focusing on financial accounting, controlling, and business process design/optimization.

  • Technical Proficiency: Possesses deep technical expertise in SAP ERP Finance & Controlling as well as Blackline Financial Close Solutions (including SmartClose).

  • Global Project Management: Demonstrates a strong track record in supporting global, transformational projects and cross-functional teams, utilizing Agile mindsets and methodologies like Six Sigma, Scrum, or Kaizen.

  • Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Exhibits excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the power to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively (verbal and written) within complex international networks.

  • Mindset & Organization: Features a proactive "Can Do" attitude with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive innovation, and manage priorities effectively to ensure high-quality results.
