About the Role

The AME PMO Manager will lead the implementation and governance of project management practices across the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization. This role ensures strategic alignment between industrialization projects and business objectives, driving operational excellence, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

What You Will Do

  • PMO Governance & Strategy

  • Define and enforce project management standards, tools, and templates across AME.

  • Align PMO practices with global industrialization strategy and transformation goals.

  • Lead the introduction and execution of PMO structures within the E2E industrialization framework.

  • Project Oversight & Support Oversee project lifecycle from planning through execution, ensuring milestones (e.g., M-GATEs) are met.

  • Monitor project performance, risk, and resource utilization using standardized KPIs.

  • Support project teams with escalation processes, milestone reviews, and readiness assessments.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure synchronized execution.

  • Facilitate communication and alignment between regional and global project offices.

  • Training & Development Upskill IPM (Industrialization Project Management) roles and promote role clarity within AME.

  • Lead onboarding and capability-building initiatives for new PMO team members.

  • Reporting & Communication Provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with HR and leadership on organizational structure and job grading for project management globally

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project/program management within industrial or automotive sectors.
  • Proven experience in setting up or leading PMO functions in a global matrix organization.
  • Strong knowledge of industrialization processes, project lifecycle management, and risk governance.
  • PMP certification or equivalent required
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

What Makes You Eligible

  • You are fluent in English and comfortable working in a multinational environment.

  • You are willing and able to travel to Harman sites as needed.
