Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a General Manager Data, Corporate and Infrastructure, reporting to the Executive General Manager, nbn Architecture.

A bit about your role

As the General Manager Data, Corporate and Infrastructure, you will lead the development of nbn’s architectural strategy, shaping future states and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities. You will oversee the creation of service catalogues, architectural patterns and system roadmaps, while guiding complex solution designs across key portfolios including data and analytics, AI and GenAI, corporate systems and infrastructure.

This role is pivotal in translating business strategy into actionable architecture, managing requirements gathering, cost estimation and solution design before handover to engineering teams. You will lead a high-performing architecture team responsible for enterprise, solution and platform architecture, ensuring clarity and cohesion across data systems, corporate applications and infrastructure.

A bit about you

You are an experienced architecture leader with a strong background in corporate systems and data platforms, ideally within large, complex organisations. You bring deep expertise in ERP and corporate applications, and a functional understanding of finance and supply chain systems. Your ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders and deliver architectural strategies that balance innovation with operational needs sets you apart.

You thrive in environments where collaboration and clarity matter. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, aligning diverse priorities and driving outcomes that support enterprise goals. Your strategic mindset and ability to embed architecture into business decision-making will define your success. Above all, you bring a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach and a commitment to building technology foundations that enable nbn’s future.
