Job Summary
The Manager, Accounting is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, along with assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.Job Description
The Manager, Accounting is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, along with assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliation
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly close processes and year-end audits
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
Manage and mentor accounting team members, including performance evaluations and professional development
Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA certification preferred
5+ years of experience in accounting or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with experience in SAP preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
