Position Overview
We are seeking an individual to join the Fund Administration team at GMO. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant fund administration experience, whether achieved through previous experience at an investment management company or fund administration service provider. The individual will work closely with others in the team and with service providers on our mutual funds and ETFs. The candidate will gain knowledge on our complex product types.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible for expense accruals and budgeting. Work with internal groups for expense budgeting and expense forecasting.
•Responsible for expense processing, allocations and tracking for mutual funds and ETFs.
•Perform management fee calculations which include complexities such as reimbursements, waivers and recoupments.
•Work closely with service providers to ensure accurate and timely processing.
•Understand accounting entries as they relate to treasury functions.
•Review financial statements for expense-related disclosures. Prepare and review prospectus and SAI expense disclosures.
•Respond to auditor’s treasury related questions during annual audits.
•Responsible for 15(c) board report (in particular fee comparison and fund profitability sections).
•Support board reporting including preparation of board materials as needed.
•Participate in fund launches and liquidations as needed.
In addition to the above responsibilities this position position will also be involved in the review of annual and semiannual financial statements, and monthly/quarterly schedule of portfolio holdings for SEC registered funds (mutual funds and ETFs), hedge funds (onshore and offshore), Australian domiciled funds and Irish domiciled funds.
Required Skill Set:
•College degree with at least 5 years direct experience
