Full Stack Software Engineer INTERN

**The selected candidate will be required to work onsite from our Vancouver, Canada office 3 days per week.**

Role Overview

  • As a Full Stack Software Development Engineering intern, you will be an integral part of our development team, working on real-world projects that impact our users.
  • You’ll collaborate with experienced developers to design, implement, and test new features, as well as help maintain and improve existing code.
  • This role will provide hands-on experience with our tech stack, development processes, and best practices in software engineering.
  • You’ll also participate in code reviews, team meetings, and learning sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to our innovative solutions.

A Day in the Life…

  • Attend daily stand-up meetings with the development team to discuss progress, plans, and any blockers.
  • Work on assigned tasks or user stories, such as implementing new features, fixing bugs, or optimizing existing code.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to ensure implementation aligns with user requirements and design specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and attend learning sessions or workshops to expand your knowledge of relevant technologies and methodologies.
  • Test and debug your code to ensure it meets quality standards and performs as expected.
  • Update project management tools (e.g., Jira) to reflect task progress and communicate status to the team.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
  • Bootcamp graduates are welcome!
  • Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript; Python and SQL are a plus.
As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:
$25$30 CAD

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location  

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
