This role bridges development and operations by automating infrastructure, managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring application health, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain production-grade environments. With expertise across the tech stack—from cloud services and backend APIs to container orchestration and observability—this role plays a critical part in enabling rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage end-to-end deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and cloud infrastructure for modern web applications.

  • Implement and maintain automated deployment scripts and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to optimize backend logic, database access, and cloud service integrations.
  • Design and manage secure, scalable cloud architectures on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager, etc.).
  • Maintain observability tooling (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) for real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Coordinate incident response and root cause analysis, driving continuous improvements to operational resilience.
  • Support microservices and APIs built in Python, Node.js, or Django, ensuring uptime and performance in production environments.
  • Integrate automated testing and validation at various stages of the delivery pipeline.
  • Conduct infrastructure audits and enforce compliance/security best practices.

How You Will Succeed:

  • Deliver scalable, fault-tolerant solutions by leveraging automation, monitoring, and resilient architectures.
  • Demonstrate ownership in incident management, system uptime, and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, QA, security, and business teams to streamline releases and feedback loops.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize cloud costs, reduce latency, and improve service reliability.
  • Drive operational excellence through documentation, proactive risk mitigation, and governance.

What You Should Bring:

  • Strong foundation in full stack technologies with hands-on experience in backend development (Python, Node.js) and infrastructure operations.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Practical experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Secrets Manager).
  • Good understanding of networking, VPC, load balancers, DNS, and firewall/security group configuration.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, New Relic, ELK stack, or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of testing frameworks and automated test integration.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and release management.

Basic Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–8 years of professional experience in full stack development and cloud operations.
  • Proven success in managing production workloads, handling incidents, and deploying resilient systems.
  • Proficient in using Git, branching strategies, and managing version control.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or AWS Systems Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues across distributed environments.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
