The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Lingo Division. Working on Lingo, you will help build a next-generation technology that enables individuals to make decisions about how to improve energy, lose weight or enhance athletic performance.
What You'll Work On:
- Build and maintain features across our Next.js web application and Azure Functions backend in a modern TypeScript monorepo
- Develop responsive, accessible UI components using React and Tailwind CSS
- Integrate third-party services including CommerceTools, Contentful CMS, Auth0, Braze, and payment providers
- Write comprehensive tests using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, from UI to serverless functions
- Work with marketing and analytics teams to implement tracking and customer engagement features
- Contribute to our monorepo architecture using Turborepo and pnpm workspaces
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Hands-on experience building production applications with React and Next.js (or similar frameworks like Remix, Gatsby)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
- Familiarity with modern CSS approaches (Tailwind CSS, CSS-in-JS, or styled-components)
- Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Next.js (App Router, Server Components, Server Actions)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure (Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage) or AWS
- Experience with e-commerce platforms like CommerceTools or similar
- Familiarity with headless CMS systems such as Strapi orContentful
- Experience with payment integration and PCI compliance
- Knowledge of authentication systems like Auth0, NextAuth, or similar
- Understanding of monorepo architectures using Turborepo
- Familiarity with testing frameworks: Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Knowledge of error monitoring tools like Sentry or similar APM solutions
