The Role:

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our PostgreSQL Developer Experience team. This team’s mission is bold and clear: make building modern apps effortless, backed by the world’s most resilient Postgres database.

As a mid-level engineer, you’ll contribute to transforming complex PostgreSQL features into intuitive, developer-friendly experiences. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers, and product managers to build tools and interfaces that are both powerful and easy to use. This role is hands-on and collaborative, with opportunities to grow your technical depth, expand into new parts of the stack, and directly influence how developers interact with Postgres.

Our backend systems are mostly implemented in Python, with bits of Go and C, while the frontend is based on React and TypeScript.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute Across the Stack: Help design and implement front-end and back-end features that improve the PostgreSQL developer journey, from onboarding to everyday use.
  • Build Intuitive Interfaces: Develop and refine front-end applications, dashboards, and tools that make PostgreSQL adoption smooth and enjoyable.
  • Learn from Data: Instrument features to capture usage insights and help identify friction points, supporting the team’s data-driven improvements.
  • Ship Quickly, Improve Often: Participate in short development cycles, contributing to prototypes and incremental features while learning how to balance speed with quality.
  • Collaborate Closely: Work with senior engineers, product managers, designers, and advocates to deliver seamless developer workflows.
  • Grow Your Expertise: Develop your skills in Python, React, and SQL/Postgres while gaining exposure to Go and C in a modern, production-scale environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid development experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and React
  • Curiosity and passion for improving developer experience
  • Familiarity with SQL and databases (PostgreSQL experience is a plus)
  • A collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, and the drive to contribute to impactful projects
