About your team
Customer Communications is a new platform team established within Fidelity’s Global Platform Solutions (GPS) business. It’s an exciting place to be and a great opportunity for you to help shape what good looks like as we define new structures and processes. The team is responsible for the underlying mechanisms, tools and technologies to produce correspondence, whilst working with the associated business channels and downstream operational functions to support features and initiatives that aim to optimise the customer experience.
About your role
We are looking for a Full Stack AI Engineer to join our Communications Platform team within the GPS technology group. In this role you will design and build intelligent, scalable solutions that power our next-generation customer communications. You will bring together enterprise-grade application development with AI/ML capabilities to enhance personalization, automation and decision-making across the platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical expertise in backend services, cloud-native development and AI-integration. You will also collaborate with architects, product owners, and technology teams within Fidelity International to rapidly evolve strategic technology drivers and meet end customer experience demands.
- Build, scale and maintain cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes.
- Integrate AI/ML models and APIs into the communication platform for personalization, NLP, recommendations and decision engines.
- Enable data-driven features through seamless integration with Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.
- Partner with architects, product managers and data engineers to design intelligent features that personalize communications at scale.
- Work with Snowflake and data platforms to unlock insights for decisioning and automation.
- Contribute to both backend engineering and AI development – from model integration to service deployment.
- Ensure that technical solutions meet the necessary functional, non-functional, and support requirements, and align with Global Technology Strategies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the team on AI-related projects and initiatives
About you
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, including:
- Full stack or backend engineering with strong expertise in Spring Framework and REST API-based applications
- Proven expertise building cloud-native applications on AWS with Kubernetes.
- Experience in one or more SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Experience in testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, Gauge, Selenium)
- Expertise in leveraging AI in SDLC using tools like GitHub Copilot, and experience integrating AI agents in AI-based solutions.
- Awareness about different AI Frameworks like Langchain, Langgraph, Crew.AI, etc., and different LLMs.
- Knowledge of agentic workflows and their application in real-world scenarios.
- Understanding of best practices in AI development including ethical and security considerations.
- Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, with experience using frameworks/libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, and spaCy
- RAG & Knowledge Systems: Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks(React/JavaScript/TypeScript) for building intelligent UIs.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning).
- Understanding of knowledge graphs, embeddings optimization, and enterprise search integration.
- Exposure to real-time decisioning and streaming data.
- Exposure to multimodal AI (text + vision, speech).
- Familiarity with MLOps/DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, retraining).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain AI concepts to stakeholders.
