Pay Range

$18.50 - $27.75

Major Responsibilities: Accurately performs patient room service and tray line positions. 2)Portions food during room service line and tray line service according to menu specifications and established guidelines. 3)Replenishes food items as supplies decrease and checks trays against menus for accuracy. 1)Sets up assigned room service and tray line positions, in preparation for patient meal service. Responds to tube system and accurately performs & delivers courtesy trays and portions food for patient courtesy trays according to menu specifications and established guidelines. 1)Checks trays against menus for accuracy. 2)Loads patient courtesy tray carts w/appropriate tray. 3)Delivers courtesy trays to designated units. Correctly performs dish room procedures. 1)Sets up dish room station in preparation for striping dirty patient trays. 2)Brings down dirty patient trays, utilizing appropriate safety practices. 3)Cleans and sanitizes work area using properly diluted cleaning chemicals. 4)Completes assigned dish room duties according to established procedures. 5)Sweeps and mops floors. Correctly sanitizes pots and pans. 1)Scrapes, washes, and sanitizes pots and pans in a safe manner. 2)Cleans and sanitizes work area. Breaks down equipment utilizing appropriate safety practices. 1)Completes sanitation duties using properly diluted cleaning chemicals. 2)Sweeps and mops floors. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions. 1)Cleans and sanitizes all work areas. 2)Rotates, labels, and dates all food items. 3)Wears hairnet as designated. Education/Experience Required: High School or equivalent preferred No experience – will train Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to read, write speak and understand the English language to process menus and fill-out simple reports, as related to essential job activities Math Skills: Simple mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions Ability to communicate effectively none required Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Exposed to some extreme temperature changes, heat dish room, cold-cooler and freezers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance and/or 10 to 15 pounds frequently. Large amounts of bending, as related to essential job activities. This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when available.
