Legacy ChampionX/SLB has an immediate need for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic located in Odessa, TX. This position is primarily responsible for providing maintenance of any type of heavy duty vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and/or warehouse locations. What You Will Do:
Servicing all types of delivery and treating trucks.
Inspect all heavy duty vehicles once a month
Perform scheduled maintenance on all delivery vehicles
Perform field repairs as needed
Take part in planning and scheduling repairs in daily ops meeting
Maintain ChampionX policy inspection maintenance records
Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
Assist in any emergency that may need mechanical knowledge
Ensure equipment is safe and in proper working order including scheduling of preventative maintenance
Adhere to company policies and follow Standard Operating Procedure per job task
Wear required personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times during job tasks
Ensure a safe work environment, promote a safety culture, and deliver safety training (weekly), etc.
Manage all fleet equipment and maintenance needs
Directing all fleet mechanics and maintenance activities to ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and timely.
Managing monthly OPEX on repair and maintenance
Manage and perform inventory tasks
Ensure all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
Position Details:
This position will be based in Odessa, TX. Will require possible travel to locations in the field for repairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum high school graduate or GED
2 years diesel mechanic experience
Acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years)

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years diesel mechanic experience
Chemical pump and plumbing knowledge
Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic, and chassis systems
Have certifications in brake, CVSA, and A/C systems
Knowledge of use of diagnostic software (ADOC, INSITE)
Experience working on hydraulic pumps, and PTO
Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill
Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements (X – Hazmat & Tanker)
