The role:

We’re looking for a Financial Systems Analyst to join our Funds Flow & Reconciliation team. This role is equal parts accounting precision and technical curiosity, ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering how financial data really moves through complex systems.

You’ll become the subject matter expert on Mastercard QMR and Visa QOC reporting: understanding the data structure end-to-end, rebuilding and validating SQL queries, driving automation, and maintaining accuracy as new products and partners evolve. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure these critical reporting processes are not just correct, but efficient, and scalable.

What you’ll need:

Advanced SQL proficiency. The ability to build, debug, and optimize complex queries.

  • Strong understanding of financial data structures and reporting systems.
  • Accounting or reconciliation experience with an analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools like Snowflake, PowerBI, or similar environments.
  • Excellent collaboration skills. Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive solutions through completion.
  • Experience with Network data (Mastercard, Visa, etc.) preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Own Mastercard QMR and Visa QOC data reporting. Rebuild existing queries, validate logic, and document data flows across systems.
  • Stay current on changing network requirements from Mastercard and Visa, ensuring reporting logic and structures remain compliant and up to date.
  • Partner with engineering, data and finance teams to automate QMR and QOC reports for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop deep expertise in Galileo’s database architecture and reconciliation environment, understanding how transaction data connects between systems.
  • Perform and support bank and network reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analyses as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve data anomalies across internal and external reporting.
  • Lead the transition from manual to automated reporting, ensuring sustainability and compliance.
  • Act as a technical and analytical resource for Funds Flow, Finance and Bank Services leadership.
  • Document processes, maintain queries and data dictionaries, and ensure consistent data governance.
