Financial Analyst

General Summary

As an FP&A Analyst at LAIKA, you’ll partner with teams across studio operations to build budgets, forecasts, and models that keep production magic aligned with business realities. You’ll turn numbers into narratives, translating sophisticated financial data into clear insights that guide LAIKA’s next big chapter. 

Job Functions 

  • Contribute to crafting and maintaining company budgets, financial projections, and consolidated financial statements.
  • Act as a business partner for all Business Operations teams (Technology, Marketing, People & Culture, etc.)
  • Partner in establishing and maintaining long-range company financial models that evaluate company performance across various production scenarios.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and executive presentations for senior and executive management.
  • Collaborate in designing, testing, and implementing analytical tools that drive process efficiency and automation.
  • Partner in building and sustaining detailed compensation and benefits models to assess year-over-year (YoY) financial performance.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from business partners, delivering data-driven insights that inform business decisions. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • 3+ years in corporate financial planning or a similar role; experience in the film industry, a plus. 
  • Experience in financial model building and financial statement construction and analysis required.
  • Ability to work with large data sets in creating primary quantitative analyses.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint required; experience with Power BI and/or Solver, a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and adaptable, able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, creativity, and calm under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to distill complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Location

On-site in Hillsboro, OR, and eligible for hybrid work. 

Salary

Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
