About the Role

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager ANZ reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (Belrose). This is a key role that is 2IC to Regional FC and responsible for financial accounting and reporting, tax & statutory compliance, external audits, well as leading and mentoring the Financial Accounting AR & AP teams for the ANZ region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive month-end close processes, including revenue, intercompany, lease accounting, general ledger reconciliations and support Group reporting packs, P&L and balance sheet analysis.

  • Manage tax and regulatory reporting in compliance with IFRS, AASB, Australian & New Zealand tax laws, Anti-Hybrid rules, Transfer Pricing, and GST as well as provide commercially focused tax advisory to internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee timely and accurate statutory reporting, external audits, and maintain strong auditor relationships.

  • Lead finance operations across ANZ, including financial accounting, fixed assets, cash management, AP, AR and ERP integrity.

  • Lead and develop Financial Accounting, AR, and AP teams, promoting continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Manage relationships with global parent and group stakeholders, local auditors, and external tax advisors.

  • Oversee Kion EU Taxonomy (Sustainability) reporting for ANZA region and support internal control compliance.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives across Financial Accounting, AR, and AP functions.

  • Support FP&A and Group Reporting with P&L and balance sheet variance analysis.

  • Assist with annual budgeting and provide commercial support to Finance and Executive teams.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects such as financial systems upgrades and business transformation initiatives

About You - What We Are Looking For

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • CA or CPA qualified, with 6+ years’ experience in Finance Manager level roles.

  • Strong expertise in Australian statutory reporting, audits, and tax compliance across mid-to-large multinational organisations.

  • In-depth knowledge of Australian income tax, GST, FBT, and local accounting standards.

  • Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing finance teams.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and partner effectively across all levels of the business.

  • Highly organised with ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

  • Skilled in process improvement, systems transitions, and change management initiatives.

  • Previous experience with Big 4 or large professional services firms (preferred but not essential).

  • Experience collaborating with regional and global finance teams (preferred).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, systems and data analysis tools.
