The Finance Associate Director LATAM will serve as a strategic enabler of business growth, acting as a key partner in reshaping our regional strategy under the 2026 Plan. This role is pivotal in driving financial discipline, unlocking value, and enabling smarter, faster decision-making across the region, the incumbent will be responsible for recurring reporting, planning, and commercial analysis, with a strong focus on supporting profitable growth and long-term value creation. The position requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Accounting, GMG Finance, Corporate Headquarters, Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Legal—to ensure alignment and execution of strategic priorities.

Responsibilites:
- Serve as a strategic financial partner to Sales and Marketing, providing actionable insights to support both tactical decisions and long-term growth initiatives.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for LATAM, aligning financial strategies with business priorities and performance goals.
- Deliver strategic portfolio analysis at the brand and SKU level to guide optimization efforts, improve resource allocation, and enhance commercial relevance.
- Monitor and advise on the reduction of opportunistic sales, ensuring alignment with brand equity and sustainable growth objectives.
- Support investment decisions and performance tracking for high-potential growth brands, enabling scale and profitability.
- Develop financial frameworks and phased investment plans for seed brands, balancing innovation with disciplined risk management.
- Conduct margin diagnostics and collaborate with cross-functional teams to restage low-margin categories and improve overall profitability.
- Lead the financial evaluation of selective NPDs, ensuring alignment with market penetration goals and margin accretion targets.
- Provide channel-level financial insights to unlock growth opportunities in South America, with a focus on high-return commercial strategies.
- Accelerate eCommerce growth by analyzing performance metrics, optimizing pricing strategies, and guiding investment decisions.
- Drive margin expansion through Revenue Growth Management (RGM), trade terms optimization, and go-to-market excellence.
- Champion financial capability-building across teams, fostering a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the preparation and delegation of recurring reports and ad-hoc analyses for commercial and marketing stakeholders.
- Represent Finance in S&OP meetings, ensuring financial alignment and consistency in demand planning.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting to the US parent company, maintaining transparency and integrity.
- Supervise month-end close activities, coordinating with accounting to ensure a seamless and accurate handover.
- Maintain full visibility and control over revenues, trade spend, marketing investments, and SG&A, delivering clear and actionable financial narratives.
- Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across the LATAM region.
- Continuously enhance forecasting models, analytical tools, and financial processes to improve agility, accuracy, and decision support.
- Actively support SOX compliance and internal audit requirements, including reconciliations and documentation for statutory audits.
Experience and specific knowledge
Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
- 10 + years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably in FMCG or multinational environments
- Proven track record of supporting strategic business transformation and commercial decision-making
- Capable of translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to lead or support transformation initiatives, including process redesign, system upgrades, or organizational shifts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working across LATAM markets with a deep understanding of regional dynamics
- Experienced working in an international environment as part of an international team
- Excellent analytical skills and able to sort through complex and massive data and interpretation
- Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse cultural contexts and business environments across Latin America, adapting leadership and communication styles accordingly.
- Experience mentoring and developing talent, fostering a high-performance culture and succession pipeline.
- Strong influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, accounting, tax principles and regulatory frameworks relevant to LATAM market
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), planning tools, and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to drive automation and data visualization.
