How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Implementation Engineering, the ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of network infrastructure across various customer sites. This position requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to support customers and internal stakeholders alike.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting regular site visits to ensure compliance with regulations concerning hardware installations, network configurations, and software updates.

  • Providing hands-on technical support during installations and assisting customers with troubleshooting issues.

  • Monitoring network and equipment performance using Network Management Systems (NMS) and documenting findings and actions.

  • Preparing detailed reports following site visits and maintaining accurate inspection records.

  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and presenting technical solutions clearly in both written and verbal formats.

The Must Haves:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years working directly with customers in a technical support, network engineering, or IT infrastructure role.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in data communications and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP).

    • Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies.

    • Familiarity with fiber optic transmission systems and components in telecom environments.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Experience using Network Management Systems (NMS) for monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing tasks effectively under pressure.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
