Medical Patient Journey Partner (MPJP) is a unique opportunity to act as a scientific leader and trusted partner at the forefront of immunology. In this national, field-based role, you will be the crucial link between Roche's groundbreaking science and the healthcare community. Your mission is to translate complex clinical data into impactful medical initiatives, build authentic partnerships with key experts, and ultimately, help transform the patient journey for those living with immunological diseases.

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience within the healthcare setting
What you will be working on
Your mission is to improve patient care and bring better outcomes to more patients faster, operating with a Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) focus. You will leverage your scientific credibility, deep product knowledge, and strong communication skills to drive ethical, transparent, and balanced scientific understanding.
As an MPJP, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Scientific Exchange and Partnership
Develop and foster strong relationships with key external Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
Communicate complex scientific and clinical data objectively, building belief in our innovative medicines.
Serve as the primary scientific resource, accurately responding to unsolicited medical information requests and complex technical questions.
Design and execute comprehensive TAE engagement plans and participate in scientific advisory boards.
Strategic Insight Generation
Systematically gather and report actionable medical insights from the field, translating external findings into strategic recommendations for internal departments.
Provide clinical insights that identify evidence gaps and help develop future data generation activities.
Evidence Generation & Clinical Support
Act in collaboration with Internally to identify and support new trial sites, liaising with clinical operations to support the clinical development program.
Assist in addressing challenges with patient recruitment and study site initiation.
Support the Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) program and contribute to the cross-functional Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP) for Real-World Data (RWD) generation.
Who you are
With a demonstrated passion for improving the patient journey, you combine strong business acumen with an agile, entrepreneurial mindset. You are a continuous learner who possesses the strategic boldness to prioritise high-value activities and stop what is not adding impact, ensuring everything you do creates meaningful value for patients.
You have
Healthcare professional qualification and/or university degree (Science) or equivalent. An advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) in a relevant scientific field.
Significant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably within a medical affairs or clinical development role.
Deep therapeutic area expertise in Immunology, with a strong understanding of clinical practice and patient needs.
Proficiency in English and exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to present complex scientific information to a variety of audiences.
Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically, translating scientific insights into impactful medical plans.
A growth mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and a desire to challenge the status quo to benefit patients.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience partnering with TAEs and Medical Societies. Relationships in Nephrology are highly desirable.
Demonstrated enterprise mindset and ability to formulate and orchestrate cross-functional strategies.
Robust knowledge of compliance (MA Code of Conduct) and evidence generation activities (IIS, RWD, clinical studies).
Basic understanding of AI-driven tools and digital innovation methodologies.
This national-field based role can be either based in Sydney or Melbourne. Valid driving licence and full eligibility to live and work in Australia is necessary as visa/relocation support is not available for this position.
