Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience / Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in computer equipment installation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance; troubleshooting Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office problems; installing and troubleshooting networks and wiring. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS routers, firewalls, and VPN. Position Summary The Field Engineers responsibilities include on-site and off-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of computer equipment. Receive and respond to incoming help desk calls. Printer maintenance and repair Network testing, cabling, and maintenance. Setup and deployment of new desktop and notebook computers, peripherals, printers, software, and other items as required. Coordinate support between third-party support vendors and end users Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit for long periods (>1 hour), to bend, to answer/use telephone, lift 5 to 30lbs., to hear/speak in person, on the phone and is exposed to noise. Constantly required to operate computers, to use overall vision, reading/close-up work, peripheral vision, to display dexterity through handling, grasping, feeling, fingering, to lift 5lbs. or less, to concentrate, make decisions, have public contact, deal with stressful situations.
