Field Engineer to complete competitive bid, engineered procedures and complete engineering work during PPS field operations.
Responsibilities:
Detailed Job Designs, Procedures and Packs for the assigned projects by:
- Performing detailed engineering calculations and simulations considering various scenarios and constraints
- Developing job specifications, parameters and targets for the project
- Selecting optimized design scenarios with an aim to minimize costs while ensuring all the parameters are within the specifications and design is as per codes / standard industrial practice
- Developing detailed step-by-step Job Specific Procedures, Method Statements, Inspection Test
- Plans, Quality Plans
- Preparing job packs including marked up P&IDs, Flow Loops, Layout Plans, Valve Alignment
- Sheets, Trade Activity Sheets, Data Logs and Reporting Formats
- Scheduling Project Activities with Resource Loading
- Developing Safety Plans, Hazard Risk Assessments associated with Tasks and Activities
- Liaising with Clients during the design phase of the project as required
- Performing and participating in the design review meetings, internally and with the clients, and implementing outcomes of the reviews
- Preparing Load-out lists and attend follow up meetings regarding project requirements.
Field operations, including but not limited to:
- Cross-check equipment corresponding to the Load Out List and prepare Goods Out Manifest(s)
- Prepare and function test equipment at shop, compile equipment certifications and load out equipment for mobilization to the site
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings, toolbox talk to address Project risks, control measures and safe working practices with the field crew
- Rig-up of equipment and hook-up to existing client/site facilities
- Perform Field Operation activities including operation of equipment, field calculations and adjustment in process parameters, assignment of duties to the crew members, supervision of personnel and crew members, data logging and data collection, preparation of various field reports
- Ensure safe completion of work scope
- Liaise with Clients.
- Recording data, instructions and requests to/from client, deviations to specifications and/or approved procedures, loss and/or damage to resources
- Documentation and reporting of any accidents and/or near misses involving personnel and/or equipment in accordance with Company and/or client guidelines/Specifications
- Rig out equipment, demobilize and prepare equipment for the next project
- Site to Base reporting and communication
- Compilation of commercial paperwork, personnel reports, equipment and all related documentation in accordance with Company and/or client guidelines
- Prepare post job reports, analyse data and create lessons learnt reports
Other duties include:
- Prepare studies, written reports, and general documentation.
- Prepare and compile job-pack documentation and certification in accordance with Company
- Guidelines and Client specifications
- Compilation of final reports, demobilisation lists and project documentation in accordance with both, Company and client requirements
- Liaise with Clients and Vendors.
- Provide remote support to the field crew on technical matters as required
- Support Sales as required in preparation of bids, pricing, engineering calculations
- Source and price project related goods, services in accordance with Company guidelines
- Conduct site visits.
- Design and participate in implementation of various projects in a timely, efficient, safe and professional manner
- Handle multiple projects, as assigned by the other senior engineers and management
- Assist in compilation and preparation of draft invoices
- Advise management, as requested or directed, on performance of both personnel and equipment
- Carry out other tasks and duties as directed by the Manager
- Ensure that all Company Policies and Practices are implemented and adhered to all times.
- Ensure full awareness of and compliance with the requirements of all relevant Company / Customer Safety Handbooks, Safety procedures and Emergency procedures.
- Actively ensures that his / her own health & safety and the health & safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.

Qualifications:
- Recognized Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical).
- Registration with APEGA or with other equivalent Canadian Jusrisdiction
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, preferably with PPS product lines and projects
- Ability to travel to sites across Canada, roughly 15%
