Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Establish internal control system and maintain standard of financial accounting and management

  • Check grant project EERs and Vouchers
  • All financial documents are in line with stipulated field financial manual/ level of authorities and purchasing policies
  • Prepare vouchers (CDVs/DVs/JVs) in time in order to get smooth cash disbursement for project implementation
  • Ensure all program activities are in line with specific donor or grant guidelines.
  • Conduct a regular visit to the project sites to verify the quality of the goods and services delivered to the beneficiaries.

All financial documents (CDVs/DVs/JVs) are documented, filed, numbered and safely kept

  • Documentation of day-to-day financial transactions
  • All financial documents are safely kept
  • Assist PFC in checking employment expenditure reports and update subsidiary ledgers
  • Assist Finance Analyst on audit follow up action plan
  • Shared audit recommendations to ADP team.
  • Assist program team in preparation of grant budget and ensure they are in line with donor guideline

Follow up audit recommendations and action plan on regular basis

  • Fixed and non-fixed assets of projects are properly listed and maintained
  • Conduct actual physical verification assets towards the end of each fiscal year
  • Carry out or engage tasks with good judgement and responsibly.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments proactively.
  • By actively participating with manager in producing a relevant and jointly agreed development plan.
  • The plan will identify key areas which will assist in personal and professional development consistent with World Vision’s strategic goals.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Minimum three years’ work experience in the field of finance in commercial or public institutions or INGO.
  • Bachelor university degree in accounting/ finance or related subject
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practical knowledge of financial systems, internal controls and procedures
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Good knowledge of computerize accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in English and Myanmar effectively
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, coordination and organizing skills
