Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and refinement of analytical tools and processes to identify relative value trade ideas within the fixed income markets.
Identify relative value opportunities and trade ideas to assist advisors create and manage their individual bond portfolios.
Distribute field facing quantitative fixed income periodicals and client/advisor educational materials.
Learn third party models and tools used to develop investment ideas and strategy recommendations to Advisors.
Leverage quantitative/technical skills to help develop scalable portfolio solutions.
Present fixed income portfolio strategies and recommendations to advisors.
Articulate complex fixed income concepts in a manner that is understood by varied audiences.
Provide fixed income guidance and consulting to advisors that is crucial to the successful implementation as well as on-going servicing of the affluent account.
With guidance, understand translate the strategic economic views of the firm, IRG (Investment Research Group), our quantitative analyst and the trading desk into actionable portfolio recommendations that are aligned with the Firms’ overall outlook.
Provide input to help shape the investment strategy messaging in partnership with wealth management, IRG (Investment Research Group) and marketing.
Analyze contents of existing competitor’s proposals and portfolio reporting to create portfolio recommendations from the firm's perspective.
Assist fixed income product specialists with call volume and proactive outreach when needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Active Series 7.
Active Series 63/66.
Demonstrated knowledge of all fixed income securities, financial markets, portfolio strategy, economics and marketing products.
Thorough understanding of fixed income regulatory issues.
Ability to build strong partnerships & relationships and coach and influence appropriately, excellent written, verbal & presentation skills.
Established understanding of fixed income portfolio management concepts.
Strong math, quantitative skills and thought leadership.
Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and have the ability to work productively and effectively in a highly stressful, time sensitive environment all the while adhering to policies and procedures.
Strong proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Bloomberg.
